Shirt and Prints

May 5th, 2011 § Leave a Comment

These prints have been created this week as well as the cyan t-shirt. The shirt was coated on cyanotype solution and then I used leafs and other sticks to create the composition and placed it under a sheet of glass. The image was not as clear as I wanted because the glass was not flush to the negative and cloth. But I am still very happy with the results.

These cyanotype prints were made over the last two weeks. Most of the coated paper was exposed to UV light after two days of drying. I am happy with the results and looking forward to making much large prints with some new negatives.

I recently starting printing cyanotype images over the last few days. This was the first image that I created in my backyard.  I did not use a piece of glass to give the image more detail and contrast I wanted it to look softer and abstract.  The image itself was created by putting found objects on the piece of coated paper. I exposed this image to the sunlight for about 8 mintues. I developed the image by placing it in water, then placed it into the small tray that had hydrogen peroxide.
